Playground pricing is opaque on purpose: headline prices hide delivery, assembly, anchoring and surfacing until checkout. Here is the whole bill, with our own real prices — because a cost guide with invented numbers is not a guide.

The costs other checkouts add — and what we do instead
Delivery. A flagship set is four or five boxes totalling 350 kg — freight, not parcel post. Many sellers price it at checkout; with us delivery is free across the EU from our warehouse in Poland, on every set.
Assembly. DIY is genuinely free if you have a weekend and a friend — around 8 hours for compact sets, up to 18–20 for flagships, with 3D guidance in the BILT app. Our professional teams build any set in a day: €550 for the smallest through €1,190 for the Skyfort with Tube. Budget it honestly rather than discovering it in a quote.
Anchoring. Our sets anchor without concrete — no groundworks bill hiding behind the price.
Surfacing. Healthy grass costs nothing and is acceptable for home use. Bark or sand adds real money per square metre of safe play zone; rubber surfacing is the expensive option that mainly belongs on certified public sites. The full comparison is in our surfacing guide.
Maintenance. One coat of transparent sealant a year — a tin and fifteen minutes. That is the entire running cost of cedar, and it keeps the warranty active.
The honest way to compare prices: cost per year
A well-kept cedar set is a 15-to-20-year structure. At fifteen years, a €649 Sunnydale costs about €43 a year; a €3,199 Skyfort II about €213 — less than a single family day out, every year, in your own garden. Cheap pine sets change this arithmetic in the wrong direction: a €400 set that warps and splinters by year five costs €80 a year and a disappointed child.
When the cheaper set is the right answer
Honesty cuts both ways: if your children are already ten and eleven, a flagship's decade-long value curve does not fit — a mid-range set they use hard for four years is the smarter spend. And if your garden cannot hold a flagship's 10 × 9 m safe play zone, the decision is made for you — check which sets fit your garden before pricing anything.
